Pixelator

Pixelator is a tool for turning photos and images into retro pixel art.

It comes with 8 processing styles depending on the look you're going for: clean classic pixelation, retro hardware looks (PICO-8, Game Boy, NES, Commodore 64) with custom dithering, low-res PS1 3D jitter, CRT monitor effects with scanlines and glow, ASCII text art, mosaic tiles, and halftone patterns.

You can finetune colors using custom palettes and color pickers, use the side-by-side slider to compare your edit with the original image, or hit the randomizer if you just want quick inspiration. There's also full undo/redo (Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Shift+Z) so you can tweak things without losing your work.
